Maomao's Cashier App (“the app”) is a point-of-sale tool for running an artist’s booth. It is operated by the person who deploys it (“the operator”). This policy explains what the app does with your information.
What the app collects
- Account information. If you sign in with Google, the app receives your Google account’s email address and basic profile information (your name, and a profile picture URL if Google provides one). It never receives your Google password.
- If you sign in with a username and password instead, the app stores your username and a salted hash of your password — never the password itself.
- Business data you enter. Catalogue items, prices, images you upload, events, sales, and settings such as your PayNow ID and payment QR branding.
- Technical data. The app keeps the data you enter on the server the operator controls. It does not run advertising or third-party analytics trackers.
How the app uses it
- To sign you in and keep your catalogue and sales separate from other accounts.
- To show your catalogue, run the till and produce your reports.
- To prepare the payment QR code you configure.
Google user data
The app’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular:
- Google account data is used only to authenticate you and to identify your account.
- It is not sold, not used for advertising, and not used to train generalised AI models.
- It is not transferred to anyone else except as needed to operate the app, to comply with the law, or at your direction.
- The app requests only the
openid,emailandprofilescopes.
Storage and security
Data is stored in a database on the server the operator controls. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes and sign-in tokens expire. No system is perfectly secure, so the operator cannot guarantee absolute security.
Sharing
The app does not sell your data. It is shared only with the infrastructure used to run it (for example the hosting provider) or where the law requires it.
Retention and deletion
Your data is kept while your account exists. To have your account and its data deleted, contact the operator using the address below and it will be removed.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
This policy may be updated. The date at the top of this page changes when it is.
